NGEN and Honors Fund are excited to announce our $150K University Pitch Competition for student startups this Summer.
This competition is open to all software startups run by university students, faculty or recent alumni in the US, Canada and the UK. Undergrad, grad student, alum <1 year out, or faculty members. Our deadline is about 24 hours away, so we encourage you to complete your application immediately before July 3rd, at 11.59.p.m. ET.
This is a virtual pitch competition, so it will be accessible to all regardless of location. No startup is too early, Honors Fund invests in the earliest stage of startups from napkin to launch!
Timeline and Selection:
Application Deadline: July 3rd, 2026
Finalist Notification: Up to 10 teams selected for the virtual final.
Virtual Pitch Competition Final: July 31st, 2026
Competition Details:
The top prize will be a $150K standard SAFE investment at a $2M post money valuation (valuation can be increased based on previous rounds or significant traction). Pro rata rights included to allow for participation in future rounds.
The startup must be software-based and legally incorporated (at least when it’s time to receive the investment!). At least one founder is a student, recent grad (< 24 months), post-doc, or faculty member with plans to pursue the company full-time. (Reach out to us if you need help with incorporation!)
